Books That I Hold Close To My Heart

Fourth Wing by Rebbecca Yarros

I LOVE this book. Reading about dragons is amazing. I adored the romance and the plot and, most of all, the dragons. I definitely see why it is so hyped! I'm excited to continue the series This book is about a girl, Violet, entering a dragon riding college. There are politics, drama, and really cool people that she befriends. Some enemies and a lot of danger. There is bonding with dragons. It is compared with Harry Potter, Divergent, the hunger games, and How to train your dragon all wrapped in one. Overall, I wish I read it sooner. It is easy to understand , and I definitely recommend this to someone who is a new fantasy reader It's one of my favorites

Wild Dark Shore By Charlotte McConaghy

Wild Dark Shore by Cbarlotte McConaghy is one of my favorite reads this year! The characters are lovable, the plot is interesting, and it is an emotional read. I found myself not wanting to put it down. I love Rowan and her perspective. I loved reading plant information/stories from Orly. The stories from Dom, Raff and Fen are really deep as well. This book left me in tears a few times, and I can't get enough of it. The characters live in a lighthouse, which is super cool! The setting is another thing I love. It is an island near the Arctic with penguins, albatross, and other artic wildlife. It also brings light to environmental issues as well. I dont annotate often, I'd like to do it more but this book I annotated in many areas. There are so many lines I want to remember.

When The Tides Held The Moon By Venessa Vida Kelley

I wanted to embrace this book page by page because I didn't want it to end! By far, this is one of my favorite books. I loved the writing, plot, characters, and images through-out the book! I ended up happy crying at the end. This book will go on my book hall of fame! Benny and Rio are a favorite!

Say You'll Remember Me by Abby Jimenez

Abby Jimenez is one of my favorite authors, so I had to read this one as soon as it came out! A lot of people read romance to escape from the real world , but this book contained real-life problems. It is definitely emotional at times, but I can appreciate Abby Jimenez adding elements of hardships. Although I can not personally relate to these hard ships, I'm sure someone out there will appreciate being seen and is able to connect with that part. I was definitely invested between the two main characters and enjoyed how their romance played out. I was hooked on how the love interest would solve their problem and was happy to see how it ended.

The Sirens by Emilia Hart

This cover is beautiful! I received an arc from Net Galley but ended up loving the plot and writing so much that I decided to get my own copy. Her last book, Weyward, also has lovely writing, but this one is my favorite of hers. The plot was enjoyable and had a cozy fantasy vibe. It is low stakes. However, I enjoyed finding out more about the characters. My favorite point of view was from Mary. This book isn't for everyone, but I clicked with it!
